Celica FWD to RWD conversion: Sell 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th gen Celica. Take money and buy 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gen Celica. Theres your rear drive Celica.

its doable but will cost lots and lots of money for parts and labor for a FWD car to a RWD.

I got an Idea for you, it won't cost too much, but it'll take a lot of time. Find 87-90 Supra as a donor and try to use the rear wheel set up. basically a supra in a celica body. cut the console from the supra and slap onto celica for room for transmission. just do a lot of modifications to rear end and a lot you'll have to custom make.

the more expensive but cooler one would be using an IS 200 set up. better would be the 3sgte IS set up. but good luck getting parts.

If you really want to try it, try to supra set up.

i am looking into this my self as i am doing this too..............

first......... a gt4 would be the best option for this conversion for starters, cause rear end is already there...............if you got the fwd...... then get a gt4 rear half cut.......cut out the rear chassis and swap over into your fwd..........will need a body shop to do this..........move fuel tank in to boot..........

cut tunnel for gearbox......... fabricate mounts for gear box and motor,,,,, wire it all up and with a alot of money spent spend more on hoses and radiator and ecu and all should be good.........

the IS 3sgte setup would be preferable but i'm going the 2jzgte route..............

Australia's.. 1st v6 pwered 5th gen celica......
3vz-fe and e53 5sp conversion......
facebook.....V6 celica
