Default The spacers on the hood hindges saved my life D:

So basically i was heading to chino hills for a celica meet and stoped by the store and right before we leave i show my freind my leds in my headlights. i for some reason pop the hood. so im like ill close it right now and i forgot. so i bounce on the fwy and went no more than 2 miles like at 70-75 and noticed the hood was moving then i happened to remember i didnt close it right D: so i just pulled over and closed it right so either i was lucky AF or those spacers on my hood hinges made it so that the air wouldnt get trap pushing my hood up (sigh)

Hate to burst your bubble but there is a safety latch that is there just for this reason.
Also, hood spacers barely release any pressure unless you have a 1+" spacer and/or rear facing vents to complement them.

lol i got my car like that. previous owner left it up and the hood flipped on the freeway, broke the hinges and windshield and my hood and fenders are a little messed up. you're lucky!
