Has any one brought any leather seats covers (but not really covers, more like replacement linen) from www.leatherseats.com ? I would like some opinions on this and if I should buy seats from them or go to my local detail shop.

You may want to try an ulphosterer. I happen to know one so I get a deal because I don't go to the shop where they charge top dollar. They are like mechanics. Some get a lot more money than others.
They can recover the seats in just about any material you want. It will still be expensive though because leather is usually purchased in fairly large pieces so the color will match. You end up paying for the waste. Just for a heads up, I paid $100 to recover a small solo seat and very small P-pad for an old Harley. The leather was almost the entire cost. In comparison, I paid $100 to recover a much larger two-up touring seat on an old Suzuki and that included a lot of stiching so it would match the original design. The difference was in the material. This one was vinyl. That comes in rolls and is much cheaper. Let us know how you make out. |
